Parent's Right to Know

Parents, please be aware that you may request and the school will provide in a timely manner, information regarding the professional qualifications of your student's classroom teachers including:

  • Whether the teacher has met state qualifications and criteria for the grade and subjects taught,
  • Whether the teacher is teaching under emergency or other provisional status where state criteria have been waived,
  • The baccalaureate degree major of the teacher and any other degrees held by the teacher, and
  • Whether the child is provided services by paraprofessionals and, if so, their qualifications as well.

Derecho de los padres a la información Padres, tengan en cuenta que pueden solicitar, y la escuela les proporcionará oportunamente, información sobre las cualificaciones profesionales de los docentes de su hijo/a, incluyendo: Si el docente cumple con las cualificaciones y criterios estatales para el grado y las asignaturas impartidas; Si el docente imparte clases bajo un estado de emergencia u otro estado provisional donde se han eximido los criterios estatales; El título de bachillerato del docente y cualquier otro título que posea; y Si el niño/a recibe servicios de paraprofesionales y, de ser así, también sus cualificaciones.

Parent Conferences

Teachers shall be available for conferences during their planning time provided an appointment has been made at least one day in advance. Appointments for conferences must be made through the school office (492-1963). Conferences may be made at the request of an administrator, teacher, or a parent. For the protection of all students, it is required that any person entering the building come directly to the office to sign in and receive a visitor’s pass. No conferences will be held during a teacher’s instructional time.
