DODD, CASSIE- Physical Science, 8th grade

My name is Cassie Dodd and I welcome you to our school's website. I have taught 8th grade physical science at Hokes Bluff Middle School for the past five years. Before transferring to Hokes Bluff, I taught 9th grade Biology and Forensics at Sardis High. I coach Junior High volleyball, softball, basketball, and cheerleading at Hokes Bluff. As busy as this keeps me, I love every minute of it.
I feel honored to be teaching and coaching in the community I live in. I consider myself extremely blessed to be at such an amazing school and part of this tight knit community.

I live in Hokes Bluff with my husband, Kerry and my two awesome daughters, Ava (freshman) and Chloe (6th grade). We also have a beautiful 6 year old great dane named Hagen that is a gentle giant. I thank God everyday for my wonderful family, and I know that I am blessed beyond all measure.
Our two girls are extremely active in their sports so we are either at the gym or on the field year round. However, in my "spare" time ( I say this jokingly), I enjoy binge watching a good Netflix series, watching college football with family and friends (ROLL TIDE), working out, playing coed softball, vintage shopping, and going to the beach and lake as much as possible.

I hold a B.S. degree in Secondary Education from Jacksonville State University and a M.S. degree in ESL ( English as a Second Language) from UAB.
I am certified to teach in the state of Alabama.
I always urge parents to get to know their child's teacher, so we can help each other make the school year the best for all involved. Communication is KEY in order to make this happen! Please, don't ever hesitate to email or call me if you ever have any questions, concerns, or advice!
